What customers say?

“ The tantanmen is really good, the broth was rich and the noodles were perfect. The service was nice and quick, even though there was a queue outside we were sat within 5 minutes. We sat at the bar in front of the kitchen and seeing the chefs at work is fun. They also offer free toppings if you show your university card! ”

“ Some of the best ramen in Japan I ha e had. The noodles were perfeclty cooked, they were bouncy yet firm, the pork was very tender, the broth was rich and had a deep flavour of sesame seeds and the egg was perfectly runny and cooked. ”

- Carlos Topete -

“ It’s been a while since the last time I had Ramen. And I was so hungry when I arrived there so I jumped in this ramen restaurant without knowing anything. So I got Kuro Ramen randomly. The broth, darkened by soy sauce and infused with aromatic spices, delivered a bold umami punch that tantalized the taste buds. The noodles, cooked to perfection, had a satisfying chewiness that complements the broth beautifully. Topped with tender slices of pork chashu, perfectly cooked eggs, and a sprinkle of green onions, each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. So good ”

“ Fantastic Ramen soup Saturday afternoon (raining all date). I had to wait in line for about 15 minutes. The train station and the mall were crazy. Well worth the wait in this small shop but fresh and delicious made Ramen. I had the Ramen with peanut butter. It was really interesting. ”

“ Delicious ramen! We loved the ramen at this store inside the Seagull Market next to the Nagasaki train station. We tried the kuro ramen (black ramen - pork and chicken bone broth with ginger, black pepper, soy sauce and garlic oil) and the shiro ramen (whiteramen - pork and chicken bone broth with white miso paste and spring onion oil). Toppings of charsiu, bean sprouts, spring onions and nori were included and we added a soft boiled egg. The noodles were cooked perfectly, both ramens were delicious and the staff were friendly. The English menu with detailed explanations was super helpful. After 2 weeks in Japan this was the first tonkotsu miso ramen we found and we loved it. At ¥1,100 yen each this is terrific value for money. No wonder there was a queue! ”

“ First time try. The ramen was yummy and the cost was reasonable. Ordered 4 ramens with additional toppings, plus 2 plates of 6 gyozas each. The total cost was ¥6,500. ”

- Joseph Lum -

“ We had some very tasty ramen here on a Sunday evening after exploring Nagasaki. Nice combo options on the menu as well - you can go for a half ramen dish and then add some assorted sides to it. Our order was taken very quickly, and the food arrived promptly. Menu is also available in English too. ”

- Barry Fitzgerald -

“ Pretty good ramen shop. Nothing too memorable but a very solid porky tonkotsu ramen. I should’ve asked them to add the Ajitama (soy sauce hard boiled egg), but i think that was due to my lack of language skills. Nice servers, and decent atmosphere for being a station Ramen-ya ”
